This formula comes from Zhang Zhong-jing’s late Han dynasty Shan Han Lun (Treatise on Damage [due to] Cold). It is considered a modification of Xiao Chai Hu Tang (Minor Bupleurum Decoction). A 7:1 powdered extract in a 750 mg caplet.
